Business Development Representative

Our client partners with residential and commercial companies to promote technology automation. They are looking for a highly motivated and goal-oriented individual to grow their business. They have asked Michael Villeneuve of Lock Search Group to assist them in their search for a Business Development Representative to join their team in Ottawa, ON.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research potential new business and continuously follow up on leads
  • Generate new business though cold calling, emailing, qualify leads, create customized proposals, and generate quotations
  • Assist with the creation of marketing materials, strategy plans, and programs including workshops and events
  • Utilize marketing and advertising tools to attract new opportunities
  • Manage, maintain and update lead or customer information on the CRM
  • Generate reports for the management team
  • Create and implement an action plan to meet company sales and marketing goals
  • Represent the company during trade shows and conferences. Implement sales and marketing activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma, with a preference for Business Administration
  • Flexibility for international travel
  • 1+ years of sales experience including cold calling and lead generation
  • Competitive and self-motivated with the ability to achieve quotas
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship-building skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRMs
