National Account Manager - Walmart

Our client, a leading, tier 1 organization in the consumer packaged goods industry is seeking a National Account Manager for Walmart to be responsible for growing the business and enhancing the relationship with thier customer. 

Please note that only candidates with prior experience within CPG (consumer packaged goods) selling into Walmart will be considered. If you don't have current or prior CPG Walmart experience, please don't apply.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish, develop and enhance business relationships with key personnel at a major retailer in Canada.
• Work internally with Sales Planning to develop account specific plans that maximize sales, profit, merchandising, distribution and market share.
• Utilize trade promotion management program for annual planning, forecasting, promotions and trade settlements.
• Work with Marketing to develop account specific programs to achieve distribution of new and existing products through display, ad merchandising and category and shelf management.
• Conduct frequent business reviews and monthly score carding in order to take quick action and ensure mutual business objectives stay on track.
• Utilization and analysis of available market and account specific data to develop strong fact based selling presentations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• University Degree – preferably in Business or Marketing
• Key Account Experience – At least 5 years calling on major retailers including Wal-Mart and/or Loblaws, solid track record of success
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
• Analytical and creative ability to mine market and customer data and distill key actionable that add value and enhance the customer business relationship.
• Exceptional hands on knowledge of MS office, Nielsen Workstation; Customer Sales Reporting systems.
• Ability to change, adapt and thrive in a fast paced competitive environment.
