Our client, a national distributor of commercial and industrial supplies, is looking to hire a Branch General Manager in Calgary. The successful candidate will be a strong, entrepreneurial minded individual seeking an opportunity to manage the daily requirements of a busy branch, to be accountable and paid for the profitability of the business and to support the development of the sales and operations team.
As the Branch General Manager, you will lead and support all sales and operations functions of the branch. You will work with your sales team to help create targets and develop strategies while maintaining direct contact with key accounts within your region. You will work with senior management to create strategies to attain market share enhancement and the opportunity to build a business case when opportunities are identified where resources need to be applied to capture the potential. You will have the opportunity to run the business as if it was your own company and to be paid based on the profitability you create!
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the overall P&L of the business
- Hiring, training and developing employees to create a high performing team.
- Developing and implementing appropriate sales strategies to improve top line growth.
- Identifying new market opportunities and increasing overall market share.
