Account Development Manager (Courier Industry) 

As a proud Canadian contributor to the logistics industry, our client is continually expanding to better service their national client base. We are actively looking for a driven and motivated Account Development Manager in Vancouver. In the Account Development Manager role you will be responsible for maintaining relationships within your assigned territory, as well as pursuing strategic business development initiatives.  An integral part of the role will be building strong, integrated relationships and becoming a trusted advisor to clients on all courier needs.  

  Responsibilities: 

  • Provide a consultative sales approach – creating value for both the customer and the organization 

  • Manage territory performance targets, while maintaining customer satisfaction and overall results;  

  • Prospect for new clients within a defined territory. 

  • Build rapport with external and internal customers 

  • Educate customers utilizing external and internal resources 

  • Coordinate and manage all resources to meet the needs of the client 

  • Understand and leverage company resources to create value propositions and solutions. 

  • Troubleshoot customer care issues and provide solutions by working with key internal contacts 

  • Prepare and present renewal proposals 

  • Annual review of client service requirements to identify needs for change/improvement in service plan 

  • Keep up to date with market activity and the competitive landscape 

 

Qualifications:   

  • 2 years B2B sales experience  

  • A track record of success in managing relationships and sales 

  • Solid communication skills (writing, interpersonal, presentation, negotiation) and PC skills are required 

  • Post-Secondary education 

  • Enthusiastic, positive and internally driven 

  • Highly energetic and results oriented 

  • Demonstrated consistency of above-average performance in a similar position
